Student Radio Club of Campbell County - JHS

My attempt at starting a high school amateur radio club is underway.

Much is still left to do.  I'm actually carrying out an Icom AH-4 tuner each morning and retrieving it each afternoon at this point. Everything is being routed through he classroom window.  Hopefully, things will get "nailed-down" and installed much more professionally soon.  But I'm gong to get the membership settled down first so they can be involved in everything.  It's the best way to learn.

 Eagle One Antenna
(approx 33 ft vertical radiator housed in telescoping fiberglass mast.)
If you look closely, you can see the two guys on each side consisting of polyrope.  Probably not needed, but adds enough support so the antenna won't "give" much in strong storms.
9 foot ground for current tuner (AH-4 - not pictured) and approx 200 yards of fencing as a counterpoise.
One of our projects will be to add an 80 meter coil to be remotely switched in and out of the antenna circuit and to tune the antenna from the operating position with a homebrew tuner.

Station Ground
Cabling will eventually be routed through the grill where old heating units used to be located.
HF and VHF/UHF polyphasers will be mounted near top of ground rod on a mount fabricated by our machine shop.

Current station is the Icom 706 MK2G from my go-box.
Station will eventually be replaced by an Alinco DX-70 and homebrew tuner.
